Yakhmar Down Ciderhelm posted this on Aug 14, 2008 - 9:20 PM
Yakhmar is down legitimately. Last week, the encounter bugged in such a way that the adds stopped functioning. However, the bug was easily avoidable this time around and we had a near flawless kill.

We made our first venture into Black Ring Citadel after Vistrix this evening... and killed Excorant on our first pull. Good raid, even better screenshots.
Yakhmar Down, and Broken Ciderhelm posted this on Aug 07, 2008 - 9:51 PM
We had a good night on Yakhmar, bringing him down legitimately to 50%. Unfortunately, the encounter is still bugged, and we subsequently killed him when his adds unexpectedly stopped working. We'll be waiting until next week to post an official kill.
Be ready for next week and please sign up if you'd like to come.
Vistrix Down (Yet Again!) Ciderhelm posted this on Aug 05, 2008 - 1:35 AM
Granted, making three news posts on three different weeks about the same boss isn't terribly exciting, but there is purpose in my ways. The following is regarding the joint guild raids.
Vistrix is down this week, so to do Black Ring Citadel on any given night we're going to be relying on people who are already keyed. We anticipate this is about 18-21 people that we can rely on any given night. What does this mean?
- If you're not part of our raid group but you're BRC keyed, now is a really good time to jump in to raiding w/ us.
- If you've just finished acquiring your tooth but have not done the follow-up quests yet, go do them! They're about a half hour of running around (go to Kheshatta then to Zelata in Wild Lands then to Kheshatta again).
- If we don't have enough with the joint raid to head to BRC, we will be going to Kylliki's and Yakhmar. This means that, even if you're not keyed yet, please be online and ready to go as there's a good chance we'll jump to T1 content.
- Finally, if you're not BRC keyed yet but still want to be on the raids with us, you must be available with your quest ready next Monday.
Thanks for the great raids, everyone.
Headed to Black Ring Citadel Ciderhelm posted this on Jul 31, 2008 - 9:13 PM
We've keyed most of the joint raid for Black Ring Citadel tonight. We'll be hitting Vistrix again early next week to grab anyone new and will head into Black Ring Citadel then.
Thanks everyone who's been joining. We're still running short of a full raid, so if you've been interested, please contact us.
Recruitment Notice Ciderhelm posted this on Jul 30, 2008 - 11:41 PM
Eventide is a Pacific timezone raiding guild. We raid Monday-Thursday from 5:45 PST (8:45 EST) to 9:00 PST (12:00 EST). We are aiming to move into Black Ring Citadel within 2 weeks.
Register for our website.
Introduction
Are you part of a guild that has lost it's motivation? That has suffered from attrition, but instead of picking itself up, has given up? If you're still enjoying the game but the people around you aren't, read on.
We're a little late to the party, and we're fairly quiet, so you may not have heard of us. What sets us apart from many guilds we talk to is that our enthusiasm and motivation has been growing, not diminishing.
We began raiding about three weeks ago. We've been actively raiding each of our scheduled nights. Because of this, we've jumped into raid content that has been mostly working. We've developed strategies that work without needing extraordinary gear. We've coordinated with other guilds in our position and have created an enjoyable raiding crew.
Now, for fair warning: We're not a huge guild. We will never be a huge guild. Even when we can field full raids in-guild, we never intend to have more than 30 people on our raid roster. We have a history of success in working with other guilds, both in AoC and prior, and this will continue. Which leads to a second point: Our raiding crew exists independently of our roster; you will not have priority over our reliable raiding allies by virtue of your guild tag.

Recruitment
Eventide is recruiting. Eventide is always recruiting. We will look at exceptional and motivated applicants of any class at any time.
With that said, we're in a more urgent need of any combination of the following classes:

5:45 PST / 8:45 EST Forming (Guild & Non-Guild) Ciderhelm posted this on Jul 28, 2008 - 1:54 AM
Please be on and ready to go. If you haven't signed up, go ahead and do so. If you're reading this, you haven't registered, and it's about raid time, message me in-game. Thanks!
Our intended target tonight is Kylliki, so be parked there or able to get there quickly. If we have a large enough pool prepared for Vistrix, we may head there, but that will be decided after forming.
Eventide Raiding - Open Invitation Ciderhelm posted this on Jul 27, 2008 - 5:27 PM
Eventide has been forming nightly raids for three weeks, bringing others on the server who've had a desire to join. These raids have become progressively more enjoyable, and have netted several T1 boss kills.
This message is created with these goals:
- Let people know about this opportunity;
- Attract a few very reliable players to stabilize our raids;
- Move towards raiding Black Ring Citadel.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday
Forming: 5:45 PST / 8:45 EST
Closing: 9:00 PST / 12:00 PST
This schedule may be adjusted in the future to start a bit earlier provided there is actually content to warrant it.
Contacting & Joining
What You Need
- Ventrilo.
- Quest: Master of the Silver Peacock. Let us know if you are on this quest or are finished with this quest. This is a follow-up to the Grim Grey God destiny quest from Kalanthes; be sure you're on the step to get the Vistrix Tooth.
- Vistrix Bane (Priests/Mages). We know about the issues with this quest, but please let us know if you have this item. If not, make sure you have the quest from Kurtz (just North of the first camp in Atzel's Approach) to receive it; this is a two-part quest, requiring you first go to the Dragon's Lair, then turn around and run back. Since this does not require a raid, please have this step completed.
- Commitment. When you or your guild sign on to do this, provided you enjoy the time, we're looking for you to be on each night and ready at raid time. This isn't a lifetime commitment, but it's not a one-night stand, either.
Raid Formation
Raid formation will be based on forum sign-ups, previous attendance, performance, and quest progression. Class balance will be used only in extreme circumstances that prevent content completion, and volunteers will sit out before anyone is asked to.
Loot
In T1 content, we have been using a basic roll system. When we feel our roster has stabilized, we will be implementing a DKP system that will be applied equally to everyone in attendance; we will not use a loot council of any sort, as we feel this would create an appearance of collusion, regardless of intention.
Equality
We expect excellence. With us, you will earn your kills. You will learn new content when we do. You will have to go through the wipes. You will be expected to give input on strategy and coordinate with other players. You will also be expected to have the attendance that our own members do.
We will not promise you a rose garden; there are stressful nights. We won't promise easy loot. We do promise that you will be treated as an equal.
Raiding -- Why Bring Non-Guildies?
We're not looking for players who are guildless or who don't like the direction their guild is going. If that's the case, we'd rather you applied directly to our guild.
When we open our raids up to players who are not members of Eventide, we are specifically bringing in players who are part of guilds with long-time friends or family that they are obligated to stay with.
What happens when Eventide has enough members to raid on it's own?
We will only recruit what we do not reliably have in raids. We will not recruit to replace players who are not members of our guild but have had rock solid attendance and performance.
More specifically, we are not using players as a stepping stone. The size of our guild does not matter; the effectiveness and enjoyment of it does.
The Fine Print
We've recently had a guild approach us regarding a guild merger. If this occurs, we may cut this short. As we've been doing, we'll keep everyone involved in the raids updated on this situation.
