Eventide Guild is, first and foremost, a progression raiding guild. Secondarily, it exists to create a broad-based community both through the member ranks and outside the guild itself. The following charter reflects our standards and our rules.
Member Ranks
The guild has four formal ranks. Guild Leader, Guild Officer, Guild Raider and Guild Member. Applicants may be placed into a special recruit rank during their evaluation. Each rank is held to the standards of the rank preceding it.
Membership
- Members are expected to be available for both expected and unexpected guild events while they are online.
- Members are expected to adhere to a zero-drama policy both inside and outside the guild. This includes responding to or creating drama or PvP-related forum posts on any public web community.
- Members are expected to post to the guild forums regarding any absence greater than one week.
- Members are expected to be actively improving their characters.
- Members are expected to keep visible channels clear during raids.
- Members are expected never to use any clear exploits or hacks.
Raiders
- Raiders must be available and at the meeting area at scheduled raid times or must post in advance through our forums.
- Raiders are expected to have appropriate talent distribution for their given roles.
- Raiders are expected to be up-to-date on all guild strategy on our guild forums. Questions, suggestions or ideas are to be brought up on the forums prior to raids.
- Raiders are expected to clearly articulate any issues they see within or outside the guild via our forums.
- Raiders must be actively involved in our recruitment system, both in-game and via our forums.
- Raiders must be comfortable and able to use ventrilo.
- Raiders must be able to quickly install non-exploitive modifications.
- Raiders who fail to meet basic attendance or guild requirements will be demoted to Member status.
In-Raid Conduct
- Members must not AFK regularly, arrive late, leave early, or otherwise hinder smooth raiding. Any AFK must be announced clearly in the appropriate channel.
- Members must be prepared with everything necessary for top performance.
- Chat and ventrilo channels are to be kept clear at all times during raids. Ventrilo is to be used strictly by players who have a clear and necessary statement.
- Talking back to the guild leader, guild officer, or raid leader is not allowed.
- Members should be constantly engaged in strategy discussions via our forums and when specifically requested during raids.

Recruitment
Eventide Guild
Members are admitted based on friendships with current raiders. Guild Members are placed in Applicant status for at least one full week.
Eventide Guild
Raiders are admitted based on the impression they leave on our current raiders and their motivation. This method allows us to build a solid base but still be more flexible in early recruitment.
When we have established a solid 25-man crew, we will use the Damocles Recruitment system. Specifically, Raider applicants will judged over a one month period for performance and attitude. At the end of this period, the Applicant will be brought to a vote among
all Raiders. A single vote against the Applicant by any Raider results in a denied application.
Eventide Guild Members are restricted from giving any updates on the status of an Applicant. As a matter of etiquette, Applicants are notified immediately of any serious issues or in the event of an early denial.
If you're a solid player with a good attitude, the best thing you can do is not worry yourself too much.
EventideDKP
EventideDKP is a simple non-fixed DKP system.
Earning DKP
- DKP is earned on an hourly basis for all Raiders in the raid or on standby.
- DKP is earned for any boss kill, progression night, or other award marker determined by the raid leader.
- DKP is earned for turning in materials requested by the guild bank for progression. Prices are adjusted based on immediate and long-term guild goals.
Spending DKP
- Single bid, silent bid. Minimum bid depending on zone.
- No priorities, no seniority or attendance rules.
- Priority gearing, such as with Main Tanks, will be used if and when there is a clear and articulated reason for it.
